See you Sunday!

Dear CCC Family Member,

The Pulpit Nominating Committee (PNC) is in the first stage of our work to identify the leader God has planned for CCC. During this stage we are identifying who we are as a church (our church profile) and what strengths we believe are needed in our next pastor. In an effort to gather some information to help us in this task we have put together an online survey based upon the PCA’s Church Profile Form.

Please complete the online survey questions by clicking on the following link: https://secure.jotform.us/form/42797324372158

If you have issues with the link above please copy and paste the url  https://secure.jotform.us/form/42797324372158  into your browser.

We ask that you complete the survey at your convenience before October 19th.

We appreciate your time in helping us in this important way and we appreciate your continued prayers for the PNC in the months to come. All of the PNC have been asked to read Chris Brauns’ Book “When the Word Leads Your Pastoral Search”, an excellent resource for anyone who would be considering the call of a new pastor. Our framework has been guided by the PCA’s documents “A Manual for Calling a Pastor” and the “Pastor Search Process“. While using these documents as a guide we have embarked on a journey that will need your continued prayers and support.

“The PreK/Kindergarten class uses a new curriculum this year called TRU.  Each week, families prepare their child at home for the lesson they will hear in Sunday School at church.  Then, at the end of each unit, parents and church leaders are invited to join our class for the morning to Remember and Celebrate what we learned about God during the unit and who He has been personally in our lives.  Our group had its first Remember & Celebrate Sunday this past week, and it was a festive time of fellowship and praise!” -Rebecca Schackow, PreK/K Sunday School Teacher

The Children’s Ministry fall offering will support The Salvation Army’s Gainesville Angel Tree program. Donations will purchase gifts for children who attend A. Quinn Jones School. The gifts from CCC will be paired with a handmade card created by our children during the Missions Conference in November.

We are excited to support this community school’s efforts to serve children and share the love of Christ at Christmas. In addition to the Children’s offering, members of Christ Community Church will have the opportunity to select an “angel” from the tree and purchase a gift for a child who attends AQJ. Please contact Stacey Davis, staceydavis78@gmail.com, with questions.
