We are celebrating 15 years as a church family. We’re digging out stuff from the vault to display God’s faithfulness. Here’s an ad we ran in the Sun in 1997.

Turn up your speakers and feel the joy of this 20 second greeting from Nancy Spikes

Nancy taught our elementary children Sunday School for our first 10 years.  Her passion for Jesus and teaching Him to children was radiant.  Nancy will be with us Friday night at 7pm.  Hope you will too!  Register now.

Di you ever wonder why Jesus’ favorite self-expression was “son of man”?

“Son of Man” has the double meaning of human being and, according to Daniel 7, exalted heavenly one. And Jesus means to communicate both of those.

The common understanding is that “Son of God” implies his deity—which it does—and that “Son of Man” implies his humanity, which it does too.

He was a son of man, that is, a human being. And he is the Son of God, in that he has always existed as the Eternally Begotten One who comes forth from the Father forever. He always has, and he always will. He is the Second Person of the Trinity with all of the divine nature fully in him. –John Piper

Well, we have some real pacesetters in Christ Community.  Praise God that we had 3 people submit nominations on Sunday.

Our goals are:
1.) Every member submits a nomination.  (We’re at 3.)
2.) At least 10 men nominated for deacon (We’re at 6.)
3.) At least 10 men nominated for elder  (We’re at 3.)

Please give prayerful attention to this process.  You can pick up our nomination packet online or at our Sunday gathering.  Nominations can be emailed or submitted on Sunday mornings.
