Hey Everyone!
The Palmer Home trip is rapidly approaching! On June 24th-30th, we will be heading to Columbus, MS to serve the good people and families at the Palmer Home for Children. This will be an awesome week filled with hard work, great fellowship, and just an awesome time to get away from your usual life here in Gainesville and really see first hand how God is able to work and change hearts in a big way.
The Palmer Home has been around for over 100 years and is home to over 100 children who are “social orphans.” The children are placed into real homes on the Palmer Home campus with loving house parents who cultivate the family atmosphere. The children are given chores and responsibilities, as well as given the opportunity to attend good schools in the area. The youth group has been going to Palmer Home for four years now, and has been an awesome growing time for everyone. For more info on The Palmer Home visit this website, palmerhome.org

Worship Night at the Swamp. This Sunday, April 29th from 5:30 to 8 PM. If you come out to the church, you’ll be all alone. We are meeting in the O-Dome parking lot on the west side of the stadium. We’ll spend the night praying, sharing stories, and singing songs. Pickup will be back at the same spot in the O-Dome parking lot.
Middle School Girls’ Night is being rescheduled. We’re moving the date to Friday, May 4th.
Here’s a youth parent email I sent out today with some youth ministry announcements. If you read this and desperately want to be a part of what the youth ministry is doing, we’re always looking for dedicated volunteers.
1. D-groups are back this Wednesday, April 11th (tomorrow) at the church from 6:30 to 8 PM. Youth Group is back this Sunday, April 15th at the church from 6 to 8 PM.
2. No Youth Sunday School this Sunday, April 15th. A congregational meeting will take place during the Sunday School hour in the Sanctuary. Youth are encouraged to attend along with the adults. During part of the meeting there will be a small presentation about the Calvary Home Trip.
3. High School Event: Dinner and UF Baseball Game. Next Friday, April 20th from 5:45 to 9:30 PM. The plan is to meet at McKethan Stadium at 5:45. We’ll purchase our tickets and then walk across University Avenue to get food and walk back to the baseball stadium by 7 PM. Pickup is in the O-dome parking lot. High Schoolers need to
bring $12 with ($4 for ticket, $8 for dinner).
4. Middle School Girls’ Event. Pam Hess is hosting a special night at her home for the middle school ladies next Friday, April 20th from 6 to 10 PM. Dinner, games, devotion, and ice cream. Every middle school girl will want to be there.
5. Worship Night at the Swamp. Sunday, April 29th from 5:30 to 8 PM. This is for all youth. It’ll be an evening of singing, sharing, and prayer in the football stadium.
