On Sunday, May 31, the Pulpit Nominating Committee announced the nomination of Tim Hayse for the role of senior pastor at Christ Community Church. This exciting announcement is the culmination of 9 months of vigorous seeking and searching. You will find a letter from Tim below, and you can also hear him preach by visiting http://nsfellowship.org/
- We have scheduled an interview weekend for June 20-21st in which Tim and Robin will be at CCC, meeting with many groups within the church. Tim will also preach on Sunday, June 21st, and afterwards the congregation will share a meal with the Hayse family.
- On June 28th we will have a congregational meeting for the purpose of voting to call Tim as our next Senior pastor.
In the coming weeks, we will be working to keep the congregation updated on specific details. We also welcome your questions and feedback. Please do not hesitate to contact any of the church’s leadership as we walk through this process together.
The Hayse Family
Hello Christ Community Church!
We are excited to meet all of you! My wife Robin and I both grew up in Florida. We met in school at King College in Bristol, Tennessee, where I earned a BA in Business Administration. Together, we served at Christ Church of Jacksonville right out of college. After my training at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, I joined the staff of North Shore Fellowship in Chattanooga. We have been serving there for 8 years now.
Robin and I have been married for 13 years and have three children. Noah is 9 and loves baseball; Anna is 7 and enjoys drawing and art; and Avery just turned 6 and loves baby dolls and pretending to be a mama. As a family we enjoy sports, being outside, and sharing a good meal. We love people and having them in our home. We are grateful and humbled by the call Jesus has on our lives to serve His church.
Psalm 103:2-5a is our family’s theme Scripture:
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good.”
We long for a gratitude that is rooted in the grace of Christ Jesus who rescues and redeems our lives. Our prayer is that we know his love and mercy and seek satisfaction in him alone. Thank you for those who have been praying for our family in this process.
We have also been praying for you and your church in this time and are excited to meet each of you. We are both humbled and excited at the possibility of serving and celebrating our precious Jesus together as we seek His Kingdom in Gainesville.
Grace and Peace,
Tim Hayse
CCC Family,
The search for the next Senior Pastor of Christ Community Church has been God’s process from the beginning; we have been dependent upon Him throughout and He has been faithful.
The PNC will be nominating a candidate for Senior Pastor to the congregation this coming Sunday, May 31st. Please save the dates of June 20-21st for an interview weekend with the nominee and his family AND June 28th for a congregational meeting to vote on his call. These are two very important weekends in the life of our church and more details will be coming this Sunday and in the coming weeks.
We want to thank you for your prayers for the PNC, CCC and this process over the last 9 months. Please continue to be in prayer for CCC and for the man and his family God has called to lead us.
As always, if you have any question please ask any member of the PNC or session.
Trusting in Him,
Brian, Charlie, Christian, Harry, Lynn, Mike and Sharon (Your PNC)
