Calling all volunteers for Children’s Ministry. Tonight is our first volunteer training class. 6-8pm in the Multipurpose room. Please come and join us. If you can’t make it this week next week on Tuesday we are having our second one. This is a vital time to learn about using your classroom materials, policies, safety, and getting fired up for this year. Please come if you are volunteering this year.

@ International Friendship
These guys do a great job of representing Christ’s Church in befriending the “guest in our midst” by helping and reaching out in Christ’s name. Pray for their first meeting tonight, August 29th at 7:00 p.m. International Friendship’s Conversational English Class.
@ RUF
The campus ministry that–like it or not–was used to bring Rob Pendley into the kingdom of God. Our man Steve Lammers does a great job leading this group. They meet Tuesdays at 7:30pm in the MSB auditorium.
Examine the historical, theological and cultural relevance of Christian Hymnody as it relates to CCC. Each week, we will work through several of the hymns we sing, studying their origins and writer’s stories, and noting the theological implications that may be carried throughout the verses. By contemplating what we sing, we hope to make each song resonate more strongly when we sing it in corporate worship.
Sundays @ 10am, starting Sept. 11
