Members gathered for the purpose of voting on the call to Tim Hayse as senior pastor of Christ Community Church.<\/p><\/div>\n

On Sunday, June 28th, more than 90 members of Christ Community Church gathered for the purpose of voting on a call to Tim Hayse for senior pastor. Immediately following the worship service with guest preacher Ryan Harding (City Church), ballots with call details were distributed and Michael Marshall was nominated as moderator of the congregational meeting. After some discussion, the vote yielded an overwhelming majority “Yes” vote.<\/p>\n

The Pulpit Nominating Committee then gathered before the group, and elder Nate Henkel thanked them and their families for their sacrifice and commitment to the body and to the process of finding our pastoral nominee. Lynn Livers concluded the afternoon meeting by thanking the congregation for its unity and support over the past year.<\/p>\n

Our leadership extended the call to Tim yesterday and he accepted it.\u00a0The official call details as adopted yesterday by three times a quorum of our membership will now be delivered to the North Florida Presbytery of our denomination (the PCA) for approval.\u00a0Pending that,\u00a0we have a tentative timeline in place that puts the Hayse family here in Gainesville by mid August.<\/p>\n
