In this week’s Reminders & Reflections email, we included some information on Sunday School classes that might have caused some confusion. Here’s an overview of what is being offered this week, running through the end of March:<\/p>\n
First John Study <\/strong>– Have you heard these sayings?\u00a0 \u201cWalk in the light,\u201d \u201clook out for false teachings,\u201d \u201clove one another,\u201d \u201cchildren of God,\u201d \u201ctest the spirit,\u201d or \u201chave faith in Jesus.\u201d\u00a0 These are all teachings that are found in the book of 1st<\/sup> John.\u00a0 John challenges believers to what they stand for as children of God.\u00a0 Come study this book and grow in your walk with God as you study His word.\u00a0 Meets in the sanctuary<\/p>\n <\/strong><\/em>Needed for class:\u00a0 Bible ***<\/p>\n The Treasure Principle Study\u00a0<\/strong>(Crossroads & College) –\u00a0What are the treasures of your heart?\u00a0 How does God allow us to be stewards of His resources?\u00a0 Jesus talks about His followers having the JOY of giving and the proper perspective of the resources we possess multiple times throughout the scriptures.\u00a0 Come join us to be challenged on how to have a biblical perspective of the resources God owns and you possess.\u00a0 Meets in room #122<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Needed for class:\u00a0 Bible<\/strong> and \u201cThe Treasure Principle\u201d book<\/strong> (copies available for $5.00) ***<\/p>\n Community Group Leader Training <\/strong>–\u00a0As one of the core values of the church, we believe that believers in Christ should be in fellowship, study, and life together.\u00a0 This is where we live out the gospel together in everyday situations.\u00a0 CCC finds it important to continue to build small groups of 8-15 people which can meet regularly to apply these principals.\u00a0 This class is for current and future leaders of community groups, men\u2019s groups, women\u2019s groups, or those desiring to see if God is leading them to serve in this leadership role within the church.\u00a0Meets in Office Complex conference room<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Needed for class:\u00a0 Bible<\/strong>.\u00a0 Notes and resources will be distributed in class. ***<\/p>\n “The Six-Day Worker: Grasping for Meaning in Work”<\/strong>\u00a0–\u00a0In this seminar style class (reading group) we read and discuss essays and literary selections as we try to make sense out of our daily work. Whether we are in a dream job, patiently awaiting the next rung on the career ladder, preparing to enter a vocation, or just wondering if anyone notices all the work we do at home without a paycheck, we will explore the ways in which our work is tied up in the work of Jesus.
