{"id":1586,"date":"2012-02-10T20:40:26","date_gmt":"2012-02-10T20:40:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/christcommunitychurch.com\/blog\/?p=1586"},"modified":"2012-02-11T15:03:00","modified_gmt":"2012-02-11T15:03:00","slug":"two-types-of-sanctification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/christcommunitychurch.com\/blog\/2012\/02\/10\/two-types-of-sanctification\/","title":{"rendered":"Two types of sanctification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Definitive sanctification, as defined by John Frame, is &#8220;a once-for-all event, simultaneous with effectual calling and regeneration, that transfers us from the sphere of sin to the sphere of God\u2019s holiness, from the kingdom of Satan to the kingdom of God.&#8221; Definitive sanctification marks us out (or separates us) as God\u2019s chosen people \u2013 His treasured and covenantal possession (Acts 20:32; Rom. 1:7; 1 Cor. 1:2; 6:11). So too, definitive sanctification redeems (or frees) us from the dominion (or slavery) of sin by uniting us to Christ, particularly in His death, resurrection and ascension.
